Heat pumps together: over 120 sign-ups at launch

A strong start: more than 120 registrations as the heat pump group scheme launches in the Freising district and the NordAllianz.

Kick-off in Moosburg, from left to right: Melanie Falkenstein (Climate Protection Manager, Moosburg), Florian Bonert (ShiftUp), Dr. Michael Stanglmaier (Third Mayor and Energy Officer of the City Council), Bernd Brendel (Energy Advisor, VerbraucherService Bayern), Florian Wildgruber (Energy Advisor and Keynote Speaker), Thomas Schwab (Climate Protection Manager, Freising)

Last week saw the official launch of what is probably Germany’s largest group purchasing scheme for heat pumps: homeowners across the entire Freising district and in the NordAllianz municipalities are invited to make the switch to a heat pump together. More than 120 households signed up right at the start. What a launch!

Strong interest in Moosburg and Freising

The information evenings in Moosburg and Freising attracted a great deal of interest. They were organised and expertly chaired by Melanie Falkenstein, Climate Protection Manager for the town of Moosburg, and Thomas Schwab, Climate Protection Manager for the town of Freising. It is thanks to their commitment that the scheme came about in the first place and that everything is running so smoothly.

The programme had something for everyone: energy adviser and keynote speaker Florian Wildgruber gave a vivid explanation of how a heat pump works. Bernd Brendel, energy adviser at VerbraucherService Bayern, showed which buildings are suited to a heat pump, what matters for efficient operation and which grants are available. Florian Bonert from ShiftUp then walked through how the group scheme works. To round things off, all the speakers took questions, and there were plenty of them.

Join now: registration open until 30 November

If you own a house in the Freising district or in a NordAllianz municipality and are thinking about a heat pump, you can register without obligation until 30 November. After that, the next phase begins: heating installers will be invited to bid for the pooled projects.

Many thanks to everyone involved and to all who came along!
