“District heating networks are not economically viable” – this was the clear conclusion of the municipal heat planning for Verbandsgemeinde Wörrstadt in September 2025. The consequence followed immediately: the launch of a municipality-wide heat pump bundling initiative.
To support this, ShiftUp collected offers from regional heating contractors – openly, transparently, and in a comparable format. The goal: to provide clear guidance for everyone interested, regardless of how each individual ultimately decides.
📍 The heat fair in Armsheim has now taken place:
On Saturday, February 21, around 250 visitors met with numerous regional companies. Once again, the well-known “Energy Saving Commissioner” Carsten Herbert was on site, providing valuable information and raising awareness.
📊 A real highlight:
The preliminary evaluation of the applicant companies participating in the bundling initiative was already on display at the municipality’s stand with Elmar Uherek and Daria Paluch – a clear sign that implementation is about to begin. For latecomers, registration was reopened for a few additional days during the fair.
📈 The result speaks for itself:
A total of 158 interested participants came together in the end – a record-breaking number!
Conclusion: Evaluation is complete, interest is high – implementation can now begin.
