Training weeks Lower Saxony on the decentralised heat transition

Next week, Florian Bonert (CEO of ShiftUp) will be speaking at the Digital Training Weeks organised by the Climate Protection and Energy Agency of Lower Saxony (KEAN) about how the heat transition can succeed in areas where no district heating network is being developed.

At ShiftUp, we are delighted to share insights from our heat pump group-purchasing initiatives, which are now being carried out together with several municipalities across Germany.

When: Tuesday, 2 June 2026, 14:00–15:30
Title: Decentralised Heat Transition: Approaches and Practical Experiences

Alongside Florian, the following speakers will also contribute:

  • Martin Hulpke-Wette from GöttingenZero on neighbourhood-based knowledge sharing around heating replacement
  • André Mollenhauer from the City of Helmstedt on municipal support approaches arising from heat planning

What makes this session particularly exciting is the combination of municipal, civil society and operational perspectives.

We are looking forward to the exchange and discussion!
